The French food authority AFSSA has approved a health claim for cranberry juice

“The French food authority AFSSA (Agence Francaise de securite sanitaire des aliments) has approved a health claim for cranberry juice and powder and its effect on urinary tract health, in the world’s first health claim for the fruit…AFSSA will permit the claim that the North American cranberry VM (vaccinium macrocarpon) can ‘help reduce the adhesion of certain E.coli bacteria to the urinary tract walls.’”
